Pro Bono
We believe that besides the privilege of being a leading business entity in Israel, it is our duty to volunteer, as a firm and as individuals, for the benefit of society. Our pro bono activities are diverse and are divided into two main channels.
The first channel is legal-professional through the provision of legal services to the community. The second channel is community outreach and includes participation in diverse social activities by the firm, its partners and staff.
Our firm operates a Pro Bono Forum comprised of partners, attorneys and administrative staff. The purpose of the forum is to integrate the firm’s various pro bono activities by considering and advancing new activities and initiatives according to the firm’s values and resources.
We are always open to additional opportunities to contribute our professional and legal capabilities to worthy causes for the benefit of society. If you have requests or suggestions for initiatives, please contact us – [email protected].
Pro bono assistance to victims of 7/10
Beyond the general upheaval in Israel, the attacks on October 7 and the ensuing war are having direct adverse impacts on various population groups. In light of the events, our firm sought to provide legal-professional assistance to victims of the tragic events of 7/10 and since then.
Our firm is providing legal assistance to two NPOs dedicated to the Nova Festival victims. The first is the Children of Light Association, which is dedicated to families whose loved ones were murdered at the Nova Festival, and the second is the Tribe of Nova Community Association, which is dedicated to survivors of that massacre.
Our legal advisory services include support to these NPOs and initial legal advice to individuals in relation to social security rights, labor law, family law, wills and inheritances, etc., by telephone, during personal meetings and during attendance at the NPOs’ help days.
Additionally, a few days after the attack, our firm opened and operated a legal support “hotline” for residents of communities along Israel’s southern borders with Gaza and for residents of communities along Israel’s northern border with Lebanon.
The hotline is operated by attorneys and lawyers and provides initial responses to legal questions that arise as a result of the situation, such as employers’ questions about evacuees and job reinstatements, national insurance (social security), property and real estate issues, etc. Residents are welcome to contact us at 03-6400666 or via WhatsApp 050-7334550.
In the community outreach channel, our firm’s staff also took part in various volunteering activities relating to the war, including during scheduled volunteering days at hotels housing evacuees, sorting donations that arrived at the beginning of the war for distribution to evacuees and IDF soldiers, etc.
Volunteering in educational and social programs
Our firm’s staff also volunteers and provides personal assistance, guidance and empowerment to numerous social NPOs on an ongoing basis, including:
- “Lo Omdot Me’negged” – an NPO dedicated to assisting women who are victims of violence, apathy and social rejection
- “Kav Mashve” – an NPO dedicated to empowering and mentoring students from Israel’s Arab society
- “Pitchon Lev” and “Lasova” – NPOs dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty, cooking and distributing meals for the needy, etc.
Additionally, our firm’s staff took part in various social projects at “Her Academy,” a nonprofit social school dedicated to survivors of prostitution and violence that provides women with vocational and life skills enabling them to acquire decent employment and re-integrate into society.
Pro bono legal assistance
Within the framework of our pro bono legal activities, our firm provides legal advice and support to various ventures, such as in relation to the management of NPOs, and provides specific assistance with various legal cases. Our pro bono work includes the provision of legal assistance to lone soldiers, to the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel, and more.
