Our firm has extensive experience advising on large-scale and complex urban renewal projects throughout Israel.
Urban renewal projects involve multiple stakeholders, including apartment owners, developers, contractors, local authorities, financing bodies, brokers, and other service providers. The wide range of interests and considerations involved requires careful legal management at every stage of the project— from agreements with rights holders, through planning and licensing procedures, to financing, real estate taxation, and execution.
Given the inherent complexity of these projects, developers and contractors require precise and comprehensive legal support. This support must be grounded in a deep understanding of the urban renewal sector, together with the ability to navigate complex, multi-layered processes throughout the full lifecycle of a project.
Urban Renewal – Our Experience
Our firm provides comprehensive legal guidance at every stage of urban renewal projects. Led by Adv. Alon Abcasis, our team has extensive experience representing both developers and apartment owners in residential and urban renewal matters.
We conduct preliminary assessments covering all aspects of the project, lead negotiations among developers, contractors, and tenants, and assess initial feasibility. Our services also include drafting and negotiating agreements, overseeing reporting to the tax authorities, monitoring the preparation of building plans, handling proceedings before planning and building committees, and securing all required permits.
In addition, we represent developers in their dealings with financing institutions and provide ongoing advice on financing and execution throughout every phase of the project—from tenant evacuation, through construction, to apartment delivery, condominium registration, and final registration of rights.
