Adv. Gal Rozent is a partner and head of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Department.

Gal represents the firm’s clients before the Director-General of Competition, the Israeli Competition Tribunal, and the various courts, in competition law proceedings and in proceedings that involve other areas of law. He also represents the firm’s clients in regulatory and legislative proceedings, including before relevant Knesset committees and government ministries.

 

Gal advises leading global and local companies operating in all areas of industry, as well as to public institutions, and collaborates with top foreign law firms as an integral part of this counsel.

 

Gal advises the firm’s clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, concentration groups, monopolies, restrictive arrangements, administrative inquiries and criminal investigations executed by the Competition Authority, administrative and criminal hearings, the implementation of internal compliance programs, and more. He also advises and represents clients on other laws that concern, or adjacent to, the field of competition, including the Anti-Concentration Law, the Food Law, trade levies, and more.

 

In addition, Gal lectures on antitrust and competition in various forums.

 

Gal has 25 years of rich professional experience in the field. During this period, Gal served as head of the Israel Competition Authority’s legal team in the communications, high-tech, and traditional industry sectors; headed the antitrust and competition departments of both leading and boutique local law firms; and in recent years founded and managed the boutique firm Gal Rozent, Law Offices.

Monopoly: Meta to Pay ILS 25 Million for Failing to Report Mergers

The high fine spares Meta an official determination by the Israel Competition Authority that it violated competition law by failing to report mergers, and serves as a “warning sign” to other international corporations that may not be sufficiently familiar with the obligation pursuant to Israeli law to report a merger if the company fulfills the monopoly criterion.
