Barnea Represents Johnson & Johnson Innovation in Investment Round in Techsomed

Adv. Micky Barnea, Adv. Ariella Dreyfuss, Adv. Itay Gura, and Adv. Mayer Winkler represented Johnson Johnson Innovation (JJDC) in an investment round in the Israeli medtech startup Techsomed Medical Technologies Ltd. Founded in 2012, Techsomed has developed an image analysis system that helps track tissue response to thermal ablation, the process of destroying tumors using extreme heat or cold. Techsomed intends to use the funding toward receiving regulatory approval in the US, Europe, and Japan. JJDC led the company's current round of financing, which included both former and new investors, such as Screen Holdings, the Alfred Mann Institute at the Technion (AMIT), NextLeap Ventures, and Axil Capital.

Israeli Registrar of NGOs Presents a New Policy – Certificate of Proper Management Valid for Two Years

The Israeli Registrar of Amutot and Dedications has changed its policy on the granting of certificates of proper management to Amutot and public benefit companies (PBC). Our firm is representing the Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Internal Auditors in a petition with the Supreme Court against the Government Companies Authority (GCA). It is requesting that the court revoke the GCA circular stating that an internal auditor of government companies rated 7 and above must be a salaried employee and not outsourced. The petition was filed by Adv. Zohar Lande, Adv. Eyal Nachshon, and Adv. Adi Shoham of the Litigation Department.
