Barnea represented Amiad Water Systems Ltd., a public company listed on AIM, in its USD 22 million merger with and acquisition of Arkal Filtration System. Both companies manufacture and supply water filters and filtration systems to industrial, municipal, and irrigation markets worldwide.

Barnea represented Amiad Water Systems Ltd., a public company listed on AIM, in its acquisition of a majority stake in JSK Engineering Co., an India-based manufacturer and supplier of water filtration products, from its local owner. Amiad Water Systems Ltd. is a global leader in water filtration and was the first kibbutz-owned company to list on a stock exchange outside Israel. Barnea Co. initiated and led the listing process in late 2005.

Barnea advised a well-known French corporate group on its acquisition of Areva TD’s transmission activities as part of a consortium formed to submit a joint bid for Areva’s transmission and distribution business. Barnea handled the merger notification and secured approval for the complex transaction from the Israel Competition Authority.

Barnea advised Piraeus Bank on collateral to be provided by Israeli individuals to secure financing for a non-Israeli company’s investment in residential real estate in Bucharest.

Barnea represented SCR (Engineers) Ltd. and its founding shareholders in the sale of a 20% stake in SCR to Tene Growth Private Equity Fund for ILS 40 million. SCR is a world-leading provider of precision dairy herd management solutions.

Barnea represented Kibbutz Shefayim in its ILS 5.2 million investment in STI Security Technology Integration Ltd. STI operates in the international homeland security market, focusing on detecting and preventing terrorist activities targeting strategic facilities worldwide.
