Infrastructure / Infrastructure Project Finance

Our firm handles some of the largest and most complex developments and financing transactions in Israel

Our project finance team boasts an in-depth understanding across a range of industry sectors: real estate, energyinfrastructure, oil and gas, mining, and technology. The team has extensive experience working with both Israeli clients acting overseas and foreign clients operating in Israel. We also have substantial experience in the financing of local projects as well as of cross-border projects involving Africa, Asia, Europe, and Central and Latin America.

Our expertise lies specifically in various transaction structures where financing is an integral component, whether these are private, public, or private-public transactions.

Our extensive knowledge enables us to provide expert advice that suits the needs of each of our clients.

We advise on the structuring of the transaction, the structure of the investment, the best ways to participate in a bid, and, in general, how to best raise funds for the project/client. Such financing can take the form of equity, mezzanine, or senior debt.

Tax advice is also an important aspect of our services in this regard. Barnea has an experienced tax team which assists all the departments in our office.

In addition, our project finance team negotiates and documents the full scope of the project, the financing agreements, and the investors, taking into consideration business aspects as well as the relevant legal, financial, regulatory, and banking elements.

Our client base includes a broad cross-section of borrowers, lenders, issuers, underwriters, sponsors, developers, and institutional investors.
