Our competition practice team covers both contentious and non-contentious aspects of a complex and wide-ranging area of law.
Our firm’s Antitrust and Competition Department provides legal services relating to all aspects of competition and antitrust laws. The department represents the firm’s clients before civil and criminal courts, the Competition Tribunal, and the Israel Competition Authority (ICA) Director General, as well as before regulatory and legislative authorities, and provides them legal assistance in business processes and ongoing legal advice.
This department is headed by Adv. Gal Rozent, who has been practicing competition and antitrust law for some 25 years and is one of the leading lawyers in Israel in this field.
Clients include governmental companies, local and international corporations, and private and public corporations engaged in diverse industries, including leading corporations in their fields in the Israeli and international markets. Our firm, in general, and our Antitrust and Competition Department, in particular, has extensive work relations with international law firms specializing in competition and antitrust, and engages in frequent collaborations with them.

The department’s services include:
- Ongoing legal advice, including preparing legal opinions prior to carrying out business steps, providing legal assistance during tenders, preparing corporations for dawn raids and investigations, drafting internal compliance programs, supplying legal advice to officers, etc.
- Legal advice regarding legislation and regulations addressing aspects of competition or other areas of law that are tangential to competition laws, including the Law for Promotion of Competition and Reduction of Concentration, the Foods Sector Competition Promotion Law, trade levies and import restriction laws, etc.
- Representation before the ICA Director General in relation to all types of proceedings, including the receipt of approvals for mergers or restrictive arrangements, pre-rulings, inquiries and investigations, complaints, and hearings.
- Representation in appeals against the ICA Director General’s decisions in the Competition Tribunal, and in appeals on the Tribunal’s rulings before the Supreme Court.
- Representation in courts, in civil proceedings (private lawsuits and class actions), criminal proceedings, and administrative proceedings.
- Representation before Knesset committees, governmental ministries, and various authorities in relation to matters pertaining to competition and anti-concentration laws, or any matter involving competition issues.
