Israel’s Home Front Command Issues Updated Emergency Directives to Employers

This morning, June 22, 2025, the Home Front Command’s updated defense policy came into effect. The updated policy has implications for the operation of workplaces throughout Israel. At the moment, this policy is in effect until tomorrow (June 23, 2025), at 08:00 a.m.

The updated directives order the shuttering of workplaces throughout Israel, apart from the essential economy.

We remind readers that the “essential economy” refers to all entities involved in the value chain of the essential economy, including manufacturing, resources, services, materials, supplies, and other activities essential for the population’s subsistence, for the war effort and/or for the functioning of the economy.

Accordingly, as of today, only “essential enterprises” holding a special permit and workplaces defined as serving the “essential economy” may operate. We provided details about these definitions in our client update from June 17, 2025.

We are always at your service, even today.
