Infrastructure / Gas

In recent years, the Israeli economy has undergone significant changes in the natural gas field. This is in part due to the discovery of natural gas fields near the coast of the country, including Leviathan, the largest natural gas field ever discovered in the Mediterranean Sea.

Our firm is one of the leading firms in Israel in the field of infrastructure and project financing, especially in projects related to the planning, construction, and operation of natural gas infrastructures, upstream and downstream productions, and refining and marketing.

We represent key players, both Israeli and foreign, operating in the Israeli gas market. These include leading private, public, and governmental companies.

We provide our clients with ongoing advice on all legal and regulatory issues in the field. Our services include drafting agreements for the financing, transmission and distribution of oil; EPCIC and O&M agreements; connection agreements; agreements for the purchase of natural gas; and various other commercial agreements.

The firm has extensive experience in managing legal proceedings before the planning committees and in courts, including claims for impairment and compensation. We also draft agreements with owners and holders of land and deal with various authorities, including the Israel Land Authority and the Natural Gas Authority.

"This practice area is not some buzzword that lawyers can quickly adapt to and it is certainly impossible to quickly become adept in this field," he stressed.
