New Israel Tax Authority Reform: Donations Not Reported Digitally Won’t Qualify for Tax Benefits

Adv. Sagi Gross, who heads our firm’s NPO practice, was interviewed by Globes regarding the new reform that mandates all donation receipts be issued digitally. According to Sagi, the reform marks a significant shift in how donations are regularly processed and managed. For example, although some nonprofits currently use digital systems to manage their donations, it is unclear if all existing platforms will be compatible with the Israel Tax Authority’s new donation reporting system. As a result, many organizations may need to prepare in advance and go through an adjustment period.
