Relocation Seminar for Employers

Still Waiting to Hear Back After a Job Interview? Employers Must Now Notify Candidates
An amendment to the Notice to Employee Law will require employers to notify job applicants in writing whether they have been hired. The amendment takes effect at the end of January and aims to address the uncertainty candidates face during increasingly lengthy recruitment processes. These processes may involve multiple interviews, assessment centers and other stages, leaving candidates waiting for extended periods for a response, or receiving none at all. This uncertainty can make it difficult for candidates to plan their next career steps.

Voluntary Retirement Plans: What Employees Need to Know
Last week, Teva and Cellcom announced voluntary retirement plans for eligible employees. Teva is offering early retirement to 200 employees, with a package on particularly favorable terms, substantially exceeding market norms. Cellcom is offering employees with at least 30 months of service the opportunity to leave the group on particularly generous retirement terms. The plan includes an attractive benefits package, with a limited number of places available. Eligible employees have one month to apply to management for inclusion in the plan. Following these offers, Adv. Marie Tsion spoke to Globes about the role of workers’ committees. She explained that when a workers’ committee is in place and interests align, a voluntary retirement plan can be the best solution, enabling employers to achieve their objectives at a lower overall cost. She added that CEOs who view the committee as a partner will generally prefer dialogue.
