To Tag or Not to Tag: Delta Wins Suit over Sharing Customer's Photo on Instagram

An Israeli magistrates' court recently discussed the issue of copyright infringement regarding the use of a tagged photo on Instagram. According to Adv. Gal Livshits, a firm partner interviewed by Israel Hayom on the subject, "Sharing a picture of others on social media is so common we do it often without even thinking, but we must be aware that sharing a piece of content (picture, text, etc.) has consequences."

ESG – Risks and Legal Responsibility – A Lecture by Dr. Zvi Gabbay

Since the COVID-19 outbreak and the exacerbation of the climate crisis, ESG factors have increasingly influenced the profit line of businesses. The ESG Management Program at the Coller School of Management at Tel Aviv University, which will open in March 2022, will bring the most important aspects of ESG to those whose activities have an impact on the investment chain: executives, directors, investors, analysts, and public sector personnel.

Representing Sephira in Sale of Shares to DL Software Group

Barnea represented the French and Israeli group of companies Sephira, a leader in software solutions for healthcare professionals, in the sale of its holdings to the DL Software Group, which was recently acquired by the American PE fund TA Associates.

The transaction was led by Samuel Henry Samuel, and Avihay Asulin. Netta Bromberg provided representation in all labor law matters, and Harel Perlmutter and Nir Ziman advised on all tax issues.

Representation in Defamation Lawsuit against Channel 13 and Guy Lerer

We are representing the singer Eyal Golan in a NIS 1 million defamation lawsuit against Channel 13 and journalist Guy Lerer, the host of TV program Hazinor, following an investigative article that dealt with the marketing of agricultural land by a company owned by Golan. Adv. Dror Arad-Ayalon and Adv. Shir Rozenzweig are providing representation in the matter. They argued in the statement of claim that Golan's company is not connected to the allegations presented in the article and that Golan and his company are not involved in the marketing process whatsoever.

Representing ISI in a Petition Against the Israeli Ministry of Health

We represented Israel Scientific Instruments Ltd. (ISI) in a petition filed with the Jerusalem District Court against the Ministry of Health and others, claiming that the tender for the purchase of coronavirus tests managed by the Ministry of Health was conducted unequally while giving an unfair advantage to ISI's competitors.

Eran Winner, Ido Vakshi and Gaya Tsarfati, represented ISI in the petition. They petitioned the court with an order to cancel the tender and publish a new one.

We advised Reef Technology, one of the largest operators of mobility, logistics hubs, and neighborhood kitchens in the United States, on its acquisition of the Israeli logistics startup Bond, which was initially founded as Shookit, a direct-to-consumer grocery startup that delivered fresh produce to clients in the city within hours. The deal was led by Advs. Michael Barnea, Ariella Dreyfuss, and Tal Freilich. Netta Bromberg advised on the employment side. Harel Perlmutter and Hanna Daher advised on the tax side.
